Before weighing we had to wait for enough men to show up to be able to move the table top. During the waiting period, I asked several of the men what they thought the table top weighed. Everyone had a number in their head and because these men had been involved in firing and moving the table top, there was a curiosity. I offered a reward to the person who came closest to the actual weight. Here you see them writing down their names with their guesstimate.
